1. Mount Carmel 12-0
Maine South played ‘em tough. It just seems like Mount Carmel doesn’t have the word “off season” in their vocabulary
2. Wheaton Warrenville South 12-0
Morgan Park realized that WW South doesn’t carry a #2 ranking for nothing. They take the bad end of a 32-0 blowout.
3. Naperville North 11-1
Tassio and the crew send Lincoln Way East packing. It was exciting at times but North holds on to win 21-7
Rock Island fans figured they had a tough game ahead of them. They were right. Joliet Catholic shows them about football in the Chicago area. They roll 33-7
5. Lake Zurich 11-1
The more I see Lake Zurich play, the more impressed I become. The drive past Rockford Boylan 28-17
6. Driscoll 12-0
Chicago Christian didn’t deserve the beating they got. Driscoll nails them to the wall 48-7
7. Oak Forest 11-1
This confirms it. There really are animals in the forest. Richards gets upset 15-6.
8. Homewood Flossmoor 8-4
That glass slipper role seems to suit H.F. just fine. Forget their record, these boys are trying to go all the way.
9. Carmel 10-2
Carmel leaves De La Salle crying in their soup. They allow no points in the 16-0 victory.
10. Lemont 10-2
“Ohh the humanity!” Lemont knocks off a big boy in Prairie Ridge 48-34. This high scoring contest was fun to watch.
11. Glenbard North 8-4
Talk about Moving up in the rankings. They give Fremd the business 32-28.
12. Aurora Christian 12-0
Forget the river boat! Aurora Christian is the best attraction in town. Amboy falls 32-26 to the boys from AC.
