CHICAGO, IL (October 7, 2009) Undefeated super middleweight Donovan “DA BOMB” George returns to Chicago for the first time in 27 months as he headlines “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 7” on Friday, November 6th at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion. It was announced Friday by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.

George, 17-0-1 (15KO’s), long a Chicagoland fan favorite in the amateur and pro ranks, will challenge for the WBO NABO title in the ten round main event.

Said Pesoli, “We’re very excited to bring Donovan back in his first bout in Chicago in over two years. He’s always been very popular here and we’ve had a tremendous amount of interest from the local fans and media since we announced our co-promotional agreement with Seminole Warriors Boxing last week.”

Further details on George’s bout will be announced shortly.

Also featured at “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 7” will be hard hitting junior welterweight Rita “LA GUERA” Figueroa. This year Figueroa, 13-1-1 (3KO’s), has twice been involved in outstanding wars with veteran Tammie Johnson that had fans at the UIC Pavilion on their feet throughout each bout.

In a four round special attraction, Chicago cross town rivals Sergio Montes De Oca, 3-0-0, and Sergio Cristobal, 0-1-0 will face off in a four round bout.

The 23 year old Montes De Oca has twice fought at the UIC Pavilion, taking a four round decision over David Cano on March 27th and a four round decision over LeShaun Blair on May 29th. The 23 year old Cristobal made his pro debut on May 29th at the UIC Pavilion, losing a very close four round majority decision to Juan Carlos Fernandez.

Also returning to the UIC Pavilion is Chicago based junior welterweight newcomer Antonio Avila, 1-0-0 (1KO). Avila made his pro debut a rousing success with a second round knockout of Greg Cogshell on August 21st at the UIC Pavilion.

Rounding out the undercard at “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 7” is junior welterweight Ramiro Carrillo. The 19 year old Carrillo, 2-0-0 (1KO) is coming off a four round decision win over Jamar Hampton on August 21st at the UIC Pavilion.
