Jordan Hicks scored a career-high 26 points, hitting 11 of 15 shots from the field, and pulled down seven rebounds to lead Loyola University Chicago (15-15, 5-11 Horizon) to an 87-60 victory over Cleveland State (14-17, 5-11 Horizon) at Gentile Arena this afternoon in the regular-season finale for both teams. With the win, Loyola earns the No. 7 seed in the 2013 Horizon League Championship, which begins Tuesday night (March 5).

Thanks to yesterday's 87-60 victory over Cleveland State, Loyola University Chicago (15-15, 5-11 Horizon) has earned the No. 7 seed for the 2013 Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship and will travel to No. 6 seed Youngstown State (16-14, 7-9 Horizon) for a first-round game on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:05 p.m. Eastern. The winner of that game will move on to face No. 3 seed Wright State on Friday, March 8, at 5 p.m. Central, in Valparaiso, Ind.

DJ Cole scored on a runner with three seconds left to lift No. 6 seed Youngstown State (17-14) to a 62-60 victory over seventh-seeded Loyola University Chicago (15-16) in a Horizon League Championship First Round game tonight at the Beeghly Center. The three games between the Ramblers and Penguins were decided by a combined total of five points with all three contests decided in the final 10 seconds of regulation. Of Loyola's 16 losses this season, seven came by three points or less.
