Before—and early— into the NBA's 2010 free agency period, the Chicago Bulls were one of the favorites to land LeBron James and possibly his now teammates Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. But after James, Bosh, and Wade decided to play in South Beach, the Bulls tried to make the best out of the situation, signing Carlos Boozer and role players to help Boozer, Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah. Players like Ronnie Brewer , Kyle Korver, C.J. Watson, and Kurt Thomas signed with the Bulls. Those acquisition will really help the team in the long run, but the Bulls also turned out to be the losers in some free agents bids; like J.J. Redick staying with the Orlando Magic and Brad Miller becoming a Houston Rocket. Nevertheless, this was a really good summer for the Bulls and I can assure you that Chicago will no longer be fighting for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, instead they'll be playing for the No. 4 or No. 3 seed in the conference. The Chicago Bulls currently have 11 players under contract and according to team sources their still looking to fill two or three more spots on the roster. They are currently looking for a shooting guard, a point guard, and another big man. So like the headline says, how will The Chicago Bulls fill the rest of their roster? Here are some of the top prospects:
Shooting Guards The Bulls added Ronnie Brewer and Kyle Korver, but Brewer only real strength is defense, so Chicago will be looking for another shooting specialist.
Roger Mason Jr. Another player Chicago is looking into, he can defend well and is a clutch shooter.
Keith Bogan Another veteran player that could be a reliable option as the No. 3 PG and rumors say that the Bulls are pursuing him. Eddie House Bulls fans might remember House from back in the '09 playoffs. Eddie House made critical trey's helping the Boston Celtics get passed by the Bulls in seven games. There have been rumors around the web that Chicago's front office have talked about him.
Willie Green I don't know what are the odds of him going to the Windy City but he's quite a shooter and has developed every year since he has entered the league. He is really underrated and the Bulls could get him at a good price.
Michael Redd There are some questions about him playing for another season after some difficult years fighting with injuries, but his has talent and if he has some gas left in the tank he could help the team.
Tracy McGrady I'm not really a fan of this player (as you can see ) but the Bulls look interested in him and he has been trying to convince the Bulls he would accept the bench player role.
Point Guards The Bulls have their franchise player in Derrick Rose and have a reliable backup with C.J. Watson but another more veteran PG can't hurt them.
John Lucas III As a result of a strong performance with the Bulls during the Summer League in which he showed his shooting skills especially against the L.A. Clippers were he went 9-12 in FG attempts and 6-6 behind the arc, Lucas is clearly a favorite to sign with the Bulls.
Jason Williams Williams is the best option left but I still have some questions about his character issues. If he has matured, this could be a really good move if the Bulls would like to go a pursue him.
Rafer Alston Alston could come and just be the veteran presence for the other two PGs. He won't have to play a lot of minutes and could make some impact.
Center or Power Forward: The Bulls could add an extra bug man especially since their big men aren't that tall.
Anthony Tolliver Even though Golden State wants to re-sign him the Bulls are still interested in this Center/Forward. Last year he had some really good games and proved that he could get the boards.
Shaquille O'Neal Even though he should have retired five years ago, Shaq still can play tough in the post and he wouldn't need to play a lot of minutes, resting more so he can do good when needed.
Sean May A former lottery pick, he didn't live up to his potential but is still a valuable backup.
