| NBA Free Agency: Chicago Bulls Move Quickly Sign Ronnie Brewer | ||||

Deron Williams must be getting very lonely in Utah. The Chicago Bulls have signed their third former member of the Utah Jazz this offseason. First it was Carlos Boozer, who then helped recruit Kyle Korver, who then announced during his press conference that he was already texting former teammate Ronnie Brewer that he should join the fun here in the Windy City. Brewer, a 25-year-old, 6'7", 227lbs shooting guard reached an agreement on a three-year deal worth a reported $12.5 million. The Bulls worked fast to sign Brewer after the Orlando Magic matched the offer sheet that was signed by guard JJ Redick last week. Brewer is no where close to being the shooter JJ is, but he does provide size and solid defense and should fit very well with the young core the Bulls are putting together. He has averaged 10.3 points, 1.5 steals, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists during his 4 year career, which was spent mostly in Utah until the trade deadline this past season. With the signing of Brewer the Bulls currently have nine players under contract, all are under 30 years of age, and eight of the nine are 6'7" or taller. Derrick Rose is currently the only player under 6'7" standing at 6'3". The biggest need now is to find a backup point guard, hopefully one that can shoot, and try to resign sweet shooting big man Brad Miller, who is in Vegas for his bachelor party with Joakim Noah. Isn't that an interesting pair? Also there is no truth to the rumor that the Bulls will be changing their name to the Chicago Jazz or that former Bulls player and coach Jerry Sloan will be returning to the franchise, but the way things are going can anyone say for sure?
