Blackhawks Self Destruct, Nothing New

Watching the Hawks play is becoming as painful as watching the Cubs. As a whole, the team lacks the stability and maturity to play a truly decent game. Saturday’s game was no different.

In possession of a 5-1 lead over the L.A. Kings, the team then allowed the Kings to even out the score in the third period. Luckily, they were delivered from their shame by an overtime goal scored by part of the Patrick duo to made the final score 6-5.

I don’t know about the rest of the hockey fans out there, but I am getting tired of watching the same three or four guys pull off miraculous, game winning goals. What they really need is a leader; someone who can motivate this team so that they stop playing like a bunch of first year rookies. Will it be one of the Patricks? Or perhaps Toews? Whoever it is, it better be someone capable of whipping this team into shape; luck can only carry them so far.
